Book Reviews,  Giveaway,  Miscellaneous & Sundry,  Musings

books? yes, please!

Do you like to read? Of course you do!

Do you have an addiction when it comes to purchasing books? Maybe, you say? Well, I’ll admit I do. I have shelves and shelves of books, and am always looking for more. Just the feel of holding a book in my hands….it makes me laugh when I think back to my greatest fear when I was little.

What was that, you ask? The fear that I would run out of books to read one day. And that life would be horrible because of it. Never fear! The book sale is here!

And, not only a book sale, but an epic giveaway that I would strongly advise you to enter! Books……and more books…..I think I’ll dream of books tonight.

Or have nightmares about staying within the means I’ve set aside to purchase books. (Yes, I have a book fund, which is my attempt to keep from going ballistic and spending all my money on stacks of paper and words :D) (And yes, it sometimes works =P)

Are you ready for it?

Several Indie authors have specials going on their books from now ’til Monday. You may recognize some of them from a couple book reviews I’ve posted on here. Both their print and eBooks are on sale — over a hundred and fifty of them. I’ve already added a ton of books to my collection, and there are several free titles as well…..I’m going a bit crazy with all these books……

You can see them all and go shopping HERE. But don’t say I didn’t warn you :D

I’ve read several of these books — and I was able to add several of them to my bookshelf. I’m eagerly waiting for them to arrive.

Kiera Image

The first book I knew I was getting was Kiera. I was able to review it when it came out, and was part of the blog tour for it, and it is a wonderful gem of a book. The issues it deals with, and the beauty of the words dancing across the page…..I’m already wanting to re-read it. You can read my whole review  HERE.

October Image

The next book was October. I had read wonderful reviews of it on several blogs…..and it’s been languishing on my list of books to read for a while now….. AND IT WAS ON SALE!!!

Next, I purchased Erika Mathew’s book, Promise’s Prayer. Another one that I’ve been wanting for a while that I have looking forward to reading.

Gift from the Storm Image

And then Rebekah A. Morris’ book, Gift From the Storm. I’ve wanted this one for years…..and I finally am going to be able to give it a place on my bookshelf!

Now, about that giveaway — I highly, highly recommend you enter it. The grand prize winner will receive 20 physical paperback books. 20! I’ve never seen a giveaway so big! The second place winner will win 20 eBooks and audio books….ENTER HERE!

I am a 23 year old young lady who is redeemed and saved from my sin only by the grace of God. A bibliophile at heart with a love of history who desires to see the Word of God practically applied to all aspects of our daily lives -- in our homes, in the grocery store, in the political realm. I strive to put my jumbled, chaotic thoughts down onto paper -- reducing them into black and white rows, letters, sentences. Into some semblance of sanity. And I share them here with all of you, where I can challenge you, make you think, and cause you to ask questions. I am the oldest of eleven children living the country life in the deep south.

What are your thoughts?
