Homemade Creamy Hot Chocolate Mix
Down here in Dixie, it has been cold. Frigid. Freezing. Which is rare this early in Alabama. When it gets cold, I L.O.V.E. to cuddle up in front of the wood stove with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate. But not just any hot chocolate. It has to be rich, creamy, chocolate-y hot chocolate–which is where this recipe comes into play. It meets all the requirements that a mug of hot chocolate-y goodness should. Rich? check. Sweet? check. Creamy? double check. Chocolate-y? Absolutely!
The amazing thing about this recipe is that you only four ingredients. Four ingredients that we seem to always have on hand at our home….just for this recipe. Just in case we happen to be out of mix when the urge for a cup of this deliciousness hits home :-)
- Powdered Milk
- Powder Sugar
- Powdered Dairy Creamer (here I used plain…but it is really good with french vanilla or hazelnut :D)
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Measure four cups of powdered milk and pour into a large bowl…….Add four cups of powder sugar…..
Two cups of unsweetened cocoa powder…..
And one cup powdered dairy creamer……

Stir it all together to combine. Simple. Delicious. Scrumptious. Store in an airtight container so it doesn’t get clumpy :-)
To make a mug of this goodness, warm a coffee mug of milk or water. Add about 1/4 cup of the mix, stir and enjoy!
